These vehicle are not only stylish and great on gas, but the tech is next level! Have you ever driven a Mazda CX-5? If so, let me know what you think in the comments. Mazda had not been on my radar prior to this trip, but I will most certainly consider purchasing a CX-5 in the future. Wrapping upĪll in all, we were very pleased with the 2021 Mazda CX-5. The Mazda CX-5 gets 31 highway miles to the gallon. For reference, Charleston is a 4.5 hour drive for us, so this was no easy feat. Ok, I know I’ve said that I was impressed with the CX-5 a few times already, but let me tell you–the gas mileage on that baby had me hook, line, and sinker! We were able to drive to Charleston and around the city for four days all on one tank of gas. You can already guess that I’m a chronic over packer, so I’ve got to have good trunk space in my vehicle. It also had a very spacious trunk that we were able to easily fit all of our luggage into. We were impressed with the leg room in the 2021 Mazda CX-5 making for a comfortable ride. If you didn’t know, Doug is 6’4″, I’m 5’9″ and our kid now stands shoulder height with me. Also, with the MyMazda App we could start the engine remotely, check the vehicle status reports and much more. Everyone knows that the driver is the dj, so being able to cue up my podcasts hassle free when it was time to drive was great. We were able to manage our respective phones and playlists via Mazda Connect making it easy for us to switch back and forth between passenger and driver. The 10.25 inch color display did more than just help me park. It has been many years since I’ve had to parallel park on the regular, so the back up camera was a huge help. The parking assist features were also very useful while navigating tight Charleston streets. I love being able to open my sunroof year round to let fresh air in. The 2021 Mazda CX-5 also had a sunroof which is a non-negotiable for me. I had never seen anything like that in a vehicle before. Right in the windshield we could see the speed, traffic signs and the speed limit. The very first thing we noticed when we got on the road was the windshield display. I was immediately impressed with this vehicle, and was excited to get it on the road. Plus, the 2021 Mazda CX-5 has heated and cooled seats which was a bonus in the fickle South Carolina weather. I’m a sucker for a dark interior because I’m a mess and I do not need my car reflecting every little spill and mishap. The dark leather interior screamed sophistication. However, it’s beauty didn’t stop at the exterior. Our 2021 Mazda CX-5 was red, and I have never owned a red car which was already a treat in itself. I honestly was not in the market for a new car, but after driving the 2021 Mazda CX-5 I have to admit that my eyes have been opened. We got to travel in style in the new 2021 Mazda CX-5. As fantastic as the stay was, the drive down was just as fun. Our Christmas celebration was unconventional, but we were able to enjoy a few days in one of our favorite cities–Charleston, SC. I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable holiday season, and are enjoying a smooth start to the new year. Happy New Year! I can’t believe that January is already over–2021 is on a roll. ![]()
